About The Site

Windows Vista Forums was originally started by William Hook in October 2005. The site originally struggled to get any attention, having only a total of 31 members, however, after the board was reinstalled in January 2006 due to the site being hacked, users started to steadly join. The site was sold later that year, in October 06, to Singapore-based Larry Lim, a Search Engine Optimisation consultant. Once again, in December 2007, the forums were sold on to the current owners, iEntry, an advertising firm based in the US. Since then we've grown to become one of the largest Windows-Vista related boards on the internet, with over 20,000 members, and well over 150,000 posts. On average, we get hits from around 140 countries each month.

Server Hardware

We started the site running on a Shared hosting package from A Small Orange. After the original sale of the site, we upgraded to a dedicated server provided by Surpass Hosting. When the site sold in Deceber 2007, the forums were moved onto an extremely powerful server based in a datacentre outside Washington DC.
