Hey to everybody.
First, sorry my english. I'm from Argentina so I speak Spanish (IMG:https://thevistaforums.com/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Well, i need to disactivate the Read-Only folder attribute. When i try to save a file from another software, it says me that the folder is read-only and i can't desactivate this property. I made right click on folder, then click on "Read-Only" property, Applyed the changes, but when i see the folder propery, the attribute is checked again. Does anybody help me?. Sorry my english again. Thanks Diego M. |

Welcome to TheVista Forums !
First you will need to have Full control. 1)Right Click on the file or Application 2.)Then click on security-> click on advanced ->click on Owner(Select your login a/c) ->then click ok --> after that you will again see "advanced tab-> click it and selet the permission->then click on add ->Enter "users "in the object name -> click ok ->now apply -> and Now you can uncheck or check "Read-Only". |

I have the same problem but it STILL won't disable READ-Only Folder option. I've checked other topics about having full-control but for some reason my vista wont allow it or i'm doing something wrong. Please I need more detailed instructions. Do i run as "Administrator" or "Username" thank you. |
